Mr. Nace is the Senior Partner in Paulson & Nace, Washington, D.C. He received his education at Dickinson College (B.S. in Chemistry, 1965) and Dickinson School of Law, (1969, J.D., 1994, L.L.D.). His major areas of practice are medical malpractice, drug product liability, trial and appellate practice. He is Board Certified by the NBTA in civil litigation and is a member of the United States Supreme Court, Maryland, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia Bars. He has served as President of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association where he has served as a President from 1977-1978 and 1986-1987. He is also a member of the Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Associations and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers of Great Britain. He is also a founding member of the Trial Lawyers for Justice and a permanent Trustee of the Roscoe Pound Foundation. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys in medical malpractice. Mr. Nace has been listed in Who's Who in American Law, Best Lawyers in America and one of the Best Lawyers in Washington, D.C.

Some of his numerous publications include: “Juror Bashing: Attack on the People,” Trial, November 1993; “Exposed: The Campaign to Destroy Justice,” Trial, January 1994; and “Health Care Consumers: The Unnecessary Bargaining Chips,” Trial, February 1994. Mr. Nace is also an elected member of the American Law Institute and the American Inns of Court (Master) and has been a frequent guest lecturer on torts throughout the country and on numerous radio and TV programs. Some of his most notable appellate decisions include Ambrosini V. Labarraque, M.D., et al., 966 F.2d 1464 (D.C. Cir. 1992); Adkins v. Morton, 494 A.2d 652 (D.C. App. 1985); and Nimetz V. Capadona, 596 A.2d 603 (D.C. App. 1991). His awards include Attorney of the Year, 1976, Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Trial Lawyers Association; Four times Nominated and Finalist for Attorney of the Year by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice; recipient of both “Special Recognition Award” (1988) and the “Outstanding Achievement Award” (1994) by the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association.
