Mr. Gibson practices maritime and general civil law with the Riesen Law Firm, LLP in North Charleston, South Carolina. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and received a Master of Laws Degree in Admiralty from Tulane University in 1983. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is a Proctor in the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and is a sustaining member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. From 1997-1998, he served as President of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, previously having held every elective South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association office. He has authored numerous articles in the fields of automobile insurance law, maritime law, and trial practice and is a frequent lecturer on these issues. He is married to the former Renee Heifetz and has three (3) daughters; Jean, Rebecca and Abbie.
