The National Board of Trial Advocacy's mission to inform and educate the public about board certified attorneys and to recognize and promote execellence in trial advocacy neither begins nor ends with attorney referrals.

However, our greatest strength as an organization is our membership.

Each attorney certified by us has made considerable effort to acquire the requisite experience and each attorney has documented that work through an application process that can take up to two years to complete.

When you choose a certified attorney, you proceed knowing that your lawyer shares our commitment to the legal profession and, more importantly, you can enter the legal process with the confidence that he or she is truly experienced in the ways that matter the most to help you through the process.

For your convenience, we have developed an on-line database of all the attorneys currently certified by the NBTA.

Find Qualified Counsel (tm)

Use FQC (tm) to find the right lawyer for your needs. The NBTA board certifies its members in four catetories of specialization: Civil Law, Criminal Law, Family Law and Social Security Disability. Our members then, if they choose, further narrow their field of work by the type of client whom they wish to represent. This is denoted by the area of the bar.

Attorneys may also further narrow their practice by type of case, e.g., auto accident, accidental death, head injury, OUI, etc. These are denoted by Type of Case.

Please note: All lawyers certified by the NBTA, have met our rigorous standards of experience and competence in trial law. Many of our Board Certified attorneys do not limit themselves either by type of client or type of case.
